Antarctica requires branding materials to inform adventure seekers about travel to the uncharted “White Continent”. Customers includes outdoorsy millennials who yearn to go off the beaten path and those who don’t mind being disconnected from technology. The logo plays with positive and negative space. Since people associate Antarctica with penguins, I wanted the main shape to a penguin. The white chest of the penguin is a whale, another common mammal in Antarctica. The logo incorporates a rounded typeface to mimic icebergs.
